The Finance Administration Manager will provide insight on all aspects of finance, accounting, budgeting, and administration. This position will provide information to leadership to make critical decisions regarding financial and budgetary issues.  This role will interface with all individuals within the organization, membership base, vendors, and others as required to meet the needs of the business

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support the Team by providing P&L ownership and financial thought leadership to the facility and Plant Manager
  • Responsible for supporting month end financial closing duties, as well as all budgeting, forecasting activities for the facility
  • Ownership of financial reporting, providing insight and analysis of drivers of performance
  • Daily and weekly monitoring of all operational transactions for accuracy and completeness
  • Provide daily or weekly interim financial reports to plant management and corporate finance team as required
  • Prepare any journal entries and reconciliations necessary for periodic financial reporting and present monthly P&L results revie
  • Prepare the annual operating budget for the facility and present plan review to the senior management team
  • Responsible for all audit support, identification, and remediation of deficiencies and compliance reporting
  • Responsible for compliance with company internal controls with an emphasis on inventory control
  • Diagnose and report on daily/weekly/monthly material yield and loss for continuous improvement toward targeted loss reductions
  • Assist the leadership team with development for KPI's for assessing functional performance and areas of opportunity for cost reduction
  • Develop data-drive, fact-based information to support decisions enabling productivity measure to reduce overall cost
  • Provide financial justification on and post-audits for expenditures and monitor project spending for compliance with company policies


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or another quantitative/technical discipline
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in a governmental environment
  • Knowledge of government contract compliance and ITAR policies
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Superior analytical capability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft office programs, with advanced skills in Excel
  • Must possess strong prioritization skills; flexibility and ability to multi-task daily
  • Knowledge and experience with Quickbooks, Xero and other accounting systems (Gusto preferred)
  • Ability to function within a multi-system environment
  • Ability to work within a diverse team environment
  • Successful experience in driving relationships with Academia, Industry, and governmental organizations
  • Successful capabilities with office, internet, and other reporting & research tools common to this role
